“Mobile payments” seem like the buzzword of the year. And, like any buzzword, there's been a lot of debate from people in the tech space about whether it’s a fad, or whether it’s here to stay. Are mobile payments actually worthwhile? Interestingly, businesses themselves have been conspicuously absent from the debate.
Businesses’ omittance from the discussion is probably due to a lack of success with mobile payments, or, at the very least, enough success to put a stake in the ground on the topic. But as the director of marketing for Sebastians, a quick service restaurant that has had huge success with mobile payments, I’m excited to jump into the conversation. I can tell you from experience, mobile payments can definitely help a business grow.
